The second edition of Sambwoy’s Nuoriyeng Concert, an annual event by Sambuoy Records has been put on hold till further notice.The event which was scheduled to come off live at the Mangu Methodist School park on the 6th of March 2021 has been paused.
According to management, this is as a result of the recent ban of large social gatherings by the President of the republic, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo. The president announced this among several other measures put in place to curb the spread the deadly corana virus.
Speaking to ghgoonline.com on behalf of the label, Sambwoy stated that they as one of the fastest growing brands in the region takes the welfare of their fans paramount. They will there fore not do anything to put them in harms way. Covid-19 he said “is real and it’s in here with us and so we’re as a responsible group will do all within our power to help prevent its spread. It is in this vain that we see it necessary to put our concert on hold . Besides, the success of every artist depends largely on a healthy and active fan base and we will not do anything that will put the health of our fans at risk”
He added that Sambwoy records is a respectable and a law abiding group and will never disrespect or break the laws and directives of our beloved country. He concluded by apologizing to the general public especially their fans and sponsors for any inconveniences caused.
“To our ever loyal fans, our benevolent sponsors and the general public, we apologize for any inconveniences our action caused. But please bear with us as we all do our best to observe the covid-19 protocols. We promise that Nuoriyeng Concert will Godwilling come on immediately the coast is clear.
