Over 200 Dreams Ignited at Igniting Dreams and IDEAs Dinner’21

The much publicized Igniting Dreams and IDEAS Dinner’21 came off last weekend at the conference hall of Nuoyong Empire Hotel at Sombo. The program which is the brain of Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI), a non-governmental nonprofit organization that is focused on making Africa a hub for the effective development of young leaders and entrepreneurs saw over 200 young people participating.

Igniting Dreams and IDEAs Dinner’21 were successfully delivered and according to the organizers, in spite of the numerous challenges they encountered, they still triumphed.  “This year’s has been the most challenging, and yet, the most qualitative and successful. Many businesses and individuals weren’t in a great position to support for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, this has been the year we did exceptionally well with our fundraising and publicity efforts. From fundraising to publicity, the quality of work put into hosting the third edition of Igniting Dreams alongside IDEAs Dinner was impeccable. Kudos to the A-Team for such a wonderful work done” The CEO of CPI, Mr Maazu D. Bayuoni stated.

Successful and inspiring personalities such as Sangu Delle (Esq) (Founder and CEO, Africa Health Holdings) , Dr Laud Anthony Basing (Founder and CEO, Incas Diagnostics), Madam Maria Johana Yuorpor (Founder and CEO, Mara Foods), Mr Mumuni Sulemana (Director of Programs and Operations, NYA), Mr Antiku Abdulai Seidu (CEO of Antika Company Ltd), Mr Kwakye Appiah (Founder and Creative Director of StepHapp Ghana) and Mr Kamil Nabong (Founder and CEO -Hub&Fund) took turns to share their success stories to motivate, give tips and call dreams to action. And It was ably anchored by the talented super gorgeous and delectable Dora Mwinteroo of Teeros words and Wendy Sung-Suma.

The Igniting Dreams Prize started with well over 20 applicants. Shortlisted to 15 and further cut down to 6 finalists. In the end, Kobaa O.K emerged winner of the Gold Prize, walking away with GHS5,000.00. Everfresh came out as the silver prize winner and took home GHS2,000, whilst Naalong Farms grabbed the People’s Choice Prize which was worth GHS1,000.00. Through their Igniting Dreams Award for Excellence in Leadership and Business (which was initiated this year), they also presented 5 citations to deserving entrepreneurs who are doing extraordinary works in Business and Entrepreneurship in the Upper West Region.

Overall, this year’s igniting Dreams impacted over 200 young people from 7 districts in the Upper West Region. These young people after the program expressed their heartfelt gratitude to CPI for their commitment to empowering and assisting young people in the most deprived regions and communities of Africa through innovation, mentorship, and technology.  They pledged to take and imbibe the lessons learnt so as to help them ignite their dreams and that of others.
