Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI) is a Not-for-profit Organization that is committed to empowering and assisting the youth to achieve personal development and acquire entrepreneurial skills. As part of our activities, CPI has put in place an annual flagship program dubbed Igniting Dreams. The Igniting Dreams Program is essentially a leadership and entrepreneurship seminar that is targeted at empowering young people.
The maiden Igniting Dreams Program was organized in January 2019 at the Wa Regional Library under the theme Making the Best Out of Your Challenges. In attendance were several prominent people living within and outside the Upper West Region, speaking to the youth on personal development and the need to start their own businesses. Inspirational and Influential Leaders such as; Sangu J. Delle, a TEDglobal fellow, MD of Africa Health Holdings and CEO of Golden Palm Investments, Noela Wiyaala, a highly renowned international musician, among others were Speakers at the maiden event.
Sponsored by Golden Palm Investments, the event also included a Business Pitch session which provided the opportunity for young entrepreneurs within the Upper West Region to pitch their business ideas before a panel of judges, out of which two finalists were selected for financial support of their business ideas.
The second edition of Igniting Dreams program is slated for 11th January, 2020 at the Wa Regional Library under the theme; Starting a Business with Zero Capital. This topic is particularly important due to the popular notion among young people that one needs a huge amount of money to start a business.
The program is targeted at young people within the Upper West Region especially those interested in starting their own businesses. Our target audience include Senior High School students, Tertiary students and graduates. It will be graced by a number of dignitaries including but not limited to political and entrepreneurial leaders from the Upper West Region and beyond. Next years edition promises to be a bigger and greater one as participants of the previous edition keep inquiring about the possibility of a second edition and how soon it will be unraveled. It is apparent, reasoning from our first event which gathered more than 300 young people that next years edition promises to be a really momentous and memorable one.
