Nana Ayimedu Brempong III a traditional ruler and an anti-human trafficking advocate has called on stakeholders in the fight against human trafficking to put together their resources in fighting the crime. Nana Brempong III said this at a round table on migration organized by Don Bosco, European Union and other stakeholders at Mensvic hotel in Accra. Obrempong indicated that The current position of Ghana thus tier2 watch list is in bad taste hence called for crossed boarder participation of traditional rulers and other stakeholders.
Nana Ayimedu stated that he dressed in what he termed an “Afro-European” way to show the need for proper networking and collaboration among stakeholders. Present at the program was H.E Jiovanni Favilli the Italian ambassador to Ghana. He lauded HRH Nana Ayimedu Brempong III for his selflessness and dedication to fighting human trafficking.
He said stakeholders should support Nana Ayimedu achieve his objectives. H.E Favilli said awareness on migration and human trafficking is growing. That his message to Ghana government is giving Africa back to Africans, create security for investment and create job opportunities to ensure poverty reduction.
