INTERVIEW: The IG should not been judged as incompetent just because he couldn’t read a sentence correctly – Victor Vote

Ghana Online:

Hello Sir, just this morning you made a post and it reads “English language was never our language. It is a borrowed language. Judging someone’s intelligence base on how fluent you are is madness. Nigerians who have condemn the IG are nothing but a disgrace to the African culture, our people, heritage and standards. Is he good at what he does? Yes. Then why would his ability to speak correct English be a criteria for judging his competencies. We need to live above this sense of white man’s standard.” Looking at many Nigerians response even here in Ghana, why would you make such a post?

Victor Vote:

Well I still stand on what you’ve just read, that I cannot read properly doesn’t mean I am not intelligent. Intelligence varies and looking at history, this man has been reading speeches and never was it recorded that he made a mistake. So why would this current one be a criteria of judging his level of intelligence?

Ghana Online:

Some of your friends condemned your response to the situation and pointed out that for a man of your status in the media sector you shouldn’t have made such a post, now on what ‘just ground’ would you place your response apart fromyour ‘intelligence ideology’?

Victor Vote:

I am glad with the close look that  Dr. Nura Alkali gave the situation. Medically, it is possible that the IG of the Nigerian Police Force must have suffered from what is referred to as prominent anterograde amnesia as a result could not be able to form new memories which is one sign of TGA (transient global amnesia) and after I did some digging and research I agreed with Dr Nura cause when you take a close look at the IG in the video he tends to be relaxed in reading, and somehow having the feeling that he is reading accordingly. I happens to everyone. Where you are reading a bulk documents, you miss a line and repeat that same line and even find it difficult to pin-point exactly where you were. So I will urge Nigerians to see the IG’s issue as biological and that it has nothing to do with his level of education or competence or intelligence.

Ghana Online:

I guess that’s much we can take. Thank you sir for your time.
